Rajni’s work as an artist leans gently but clearly across disciplines, countries and thought structures. She is a quiet voice of change, creating and curating visually engaging performances, interventions and writings that open up space for conversation and meeting.

Whether in a public space, in a theatre or on the page, Rajni finds ways to shift perspectives and invite intimate dialogue with strangers. This web of pages attempts to show you how.

In 2009 Rajni toured Dinner with America, a large-scale installation performance exploring the idealisations and contradictions of the image of 'America', and give what you can, take what you need, a participatory work which uses gift-giving as the basis for an intervention into public spaces. Rajni is currently working on setting up Rajni Shah Theatre as a limited company in order to create a large-scale new musical performance, Glorious which will be touring in 2011-12.
