For this lecture presentation, Rajni will talk about her work, with a focus on cultural (mis)understanding. She will show excerpts from her recent performance installations, Mr Quiver (2005) and Dinner with America (2008), the first two pieces in a trilogy of visually compelling large-scale works that question issues of cultural identity within contemporary Western society. Rajni’s presentation will use both the German and English language in an attempt to further expose the complexities underlying our current perceptions of social and cultural identity.
