This 40-page book and DVD illuminates the core and outlying ideas of the performance installation Dinner with America and gently explores the question 'What does 'America' mean to us today?'. Contains an interview, a critical essay, extracts from the performance journal, footage from the making of the piece, and collaborative photographs created especially for this publication.
Content includes previously unpublished writing by Rajni Shah as well as two new series of collaborative images made with designer Lucille Acevedo-Jones and photographers Lucy Cash and Manuel Vason, and writing by Chris Goode and Mary Paterson. Each booklet also comes with the DVD Three Short Films about Dinner with America by Lucy Cash which contains films made in response to the making of the performance installation, using rehearsal and early performance footage.
